| The following enumeration contains the fossil plants, found not only in the Dutch territory, but also in the adjacent countries, the Malay Peninsula, British Borneo, Portuguese Timor and the Eastern part of New Guinea. The Philippine islands have not been considered. The classification used, is from Engler and Prantl, as given in the „Die Natürlichen Pflanzenfamilien” and the „Syllabus” of the former author. The species of flowering plants are placed in alphabetical order in the families; the species in the other classes have been arranged in larger groups. Only in some cases, still living plants were mentioned in the literature under obsolete names; in this case the fossils have been given their present names. | Von der während der Sunda-Expedition von ELBERT und GRÜNDLER auf den Sunda-Inseln und Süd-Celebes gesammelten Pflanzen ist noch keine zusammenfassende Übersicht erschienen; nur einige der interessantesten oder neuen Formen sind in die Arbeiten von HALLIER erwähnt oder beschrieben worden; ausserdem findet man im Reisebericht von ELBERT mehrere Bemerkungen über die Vegetation, während HALLIER eine pflanzengeographische Übersicht über die Flora gibt. Im Nachfolgenden sind die Pteridophyten erwähnt. Von dem Material, welches Eigentum des Reichsherbars zu Leiden ist, wurde ein Teil schon von Dr. ROSENSTOCK und weitaus der grösste Teil des übrigen Materials von Dr. HALLIER bestimmt. | This paper deals with the ferns collected by G. Stahel during his expedition to the Wilhelmina-range in the interior of Surinam. The material was partly collected in the hills at low altitudes, on the Gran Rio during the voyage and near the camp at the starting point for the mountains, mostly, however, on or near Summit 910, at about 800 m alt. (May 14, 1926), on or near Summit 1200, about 920 m h. (June 9, 1926), near Camp 40½ (June 12, 1926) at the same altitude, and on or near Summit 1280, about 1200 m above sea-level. Some plants again were collected at lower altitudes on the Coppename creek (June 11, 1926) and in the south-western part of Surinam on the Koetari river (October 16, 1926).
